Pacific Northwest nature is often what draws people to Washington and Oregon, and this home is no exception. Set within a landscape of seemingly endless forest, the primary suite addition was conceived around light, privacy, and a direct connection to the surrounding greenery. Carefully scaled openings frame the landscape while bringing a soft, changing quality of natural light deep into the bedroom.

Developed through close collaboration with the clients and careful study of the existing house, the addition was designed to feel as though it had always belonged. Quiet in scale and restrained in expression, the architecture creates breathing room within the home—a private retreat shaped by light, proportion, and nature.
