Ruslan Golubev is the founder of Anthropos Design Studio, a Pacific Northwest design practice working across Oregon and Washington. From an early age, he was drawn to designing and making things with the limited materials available to him. Over time, that early curiosity developed into a lasting interest in architecture and in the quiet power of intentional, mindful design choices to shape how people feel within a space.
Ruslan’s work is rooted in clarity, proportion, and care, with a focus on creating spaces that reflect the lives, needs, and stories of the people who inhabit them. Drawing from his Russian and Greek heritage, his design approach is shaped by an appreciation for permanence, simplicity, and material honesty. His work favors calm spatial organization, restrained detailing, and honest materials such as wood, glass, steel, and stone.
That desire led him to establish a design studio that could offer thoughtful, accessible design services for clients who value quality over quantity—beauty, meaning, and intention over square footage alone. Ruslan is currently completing his studies at the Portland School of Architecture while working on a range of projects, including additions, custom homes, remodels, and small-scale commercial work. His process is direct, collaborative, and hands-on, guiding each project with careful listening, clear judgment, and attention to both beauty and buildability.
